Sayo is widely regarded as a top REALTOR® in Vancouver, listed in the top 1% in the region. Her reputation has been built upon her dedication to working closely with families to understand their needs, helping them make decisions that best serve their individual requirements by communicating with them clearly during every step of their journey. Her clients regularly describe her as “calm and professional”, and trust that she will always put their needs at the top of her agenda.
Originally from Plantagenet, a small French-Canadian town in the East about an hour from Ottawa, Ontario, Sayo grew up on a 400-acre sheep farm. In her teens, Sayo moved to Montreal to attend McGill University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995.
Before making her name as a top Vancouver REALTOR®, Sayo had a number of varied jobs. During her summer vacations through university she worked as a chamber maid, an electrician’s assistant, a golf cart attendant, and even a construction worker. After university Sayo spent a year in Whistler before embarking upon a year travelling, heading to the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, New Zealand and Australia, accompanied by her best friend. She then spent two years in Kyoto, Japan, teaching English.
Sayo then travelled to Europe before putting down her roots in Vancouver in 2000. After a year working at the famous Mushroom Studios, she moved into real estate, joining RE/MAX in 2001. She had decided that it was time to find a career she could excel at and entered the field after a number of people suggested it to her. Having found a vocation she loves and in which she flourishes, she has been building her business ever since.
Sayo has a beautiful daughter, Aya, and outside of work, Sayo spends much of her time with her. She makes the most of her time off enjoying her many hobbies, including flamenco and salsa dancing, yoga, jazz singing, and playing piano and squash. In the summer months she enjoys wake-boarding in English Bay. Sayo also invests in real estate and enjoys supporting environmental causes. It is for this reason that Sayo implemented the “Green Giving” scheme at Team Nickerrson, to give back something to the local community.
As a firm believer in ensuring a healthy work/life balance, Sayo finds it important to take the time to indulge in her hobbies and passions, allowing her to keep healthy and active. This helps her to consistently offer great service to her clients, ensuring her reputation as a top Vancouver REALTOR® never falters.
