Spreading the Love With Giving Gifts

  • The search for the ultimate Thank-You gift is like looking for a new home; it has to be uniquely you. It’s always been our goal to be there with you during every step of the journey, and that includes celebrating your new life in the perfect new home. We love a good party and throw client appreciation gatherings several times a year to check in; to celebrate! But we’ve also been on the hunt for that little extra something that goes the extra, personal mile.

Meet Lisa Pozin of Giving Gifts. Her carefully curated selection of ‘gifts that give’ are Fair Trade, eco-friendly, and always fun. The majority of stock in her Main St. boutique are sustainable goods produced by local enterprises. What better way to say ‘Welcome to the neighbourhood’ with than a locally made gift? Pozin’s customizable Giving Crates are the quintessential gift basket for the modern Vancouverite. You might find flora, local specialty foods, natural cleaners or organic tea in the Crate, among other functional goodies that subtly scream “Vancouver”. Our favourites are the clean-burning Vancouver Candle Co. soy wax candles and Hives for Humanity honey.

The candles are hand-poured in small batches, available in scents from ‘Kitsilano’ and ‘Mount Pleasant’ to ‘Gastown’ and other recognizable neighbourhoods. The honey, along with an assortment of salves and balms, is made through a mentorship-based program to create opportunities for at-risk populations of people and pollinators in various communities throughout the lower mainland. Your honey may come from a hive on Hastings, or over on the Drive. Each jar is as unique as the neighbourhood it’s from.

The Giving Crates can be customized by recipient and Pozin asks for a one-week turn-around time to put together your special request. She also offers a delivery service to make giving even easier. Order your crate here. We’ve never been more pleased to give a gift of our own. What could make Housewarming better than tasty nibbles, welcoming scents, and the knowledge someone truly cares?
