Laurie's Family
Laurie has been working in the real estate industry since 1989 but her interest in homes started much earlier. During her pre-teen years, Laurie’s Mom felt inclined to move and would take Laurie and the family along to showings and open houses. Her Mom’s desire to move seemed to arise every spring and throughout those 8 “spring seasons” of house hunting, their family only moved once to a house that was a few blocks away!
That love for homes and real estate never left and during the early phase of her career, Laurie worked with developers and real estate project marketing companies including PCI, Polygon, the Bosa family and Milborne. While working, she obtained her Bachelor of Communications Degree from SFU which included courses in negotiation and business marketing. She teamed up with Robin Vrba in 2000, helped to implement new business systems and sales doubled!
Laurie enjoys meeting with people and talking about their homes and helping them reach their real estate goals. She grew up in Richmond, BC and currently lives in the Steveston neighbourhood of Richmond with her husband David and 2 kids aged 7 1/2 and 5.
Laurie enthusiastically supports her children at all their events including soccer, softball, hockey and dance. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring parks, painting, swimming, biking, gardening and landscape design. In fact, her front yard placed 3rd in the Richmond Annual Garden contest a few years ago!
